Uplink: Hacker Elite Se trata de encarnar a un freelance hacker, que trabaja para la Uplink Corporation; se realizan distintas misiones, por las cuales se cobra por suspuesto; y asi poder obtener dinero para mejorar tanto el hardware de la PC como el software.
En las misiones, se puede desde robar un archivo hasta robar una enorme base de datos; desde borrar un archivo hasta destruir por completo una terminal; desde meter a una persona en la cárcel hasta hacerlo parecer como muerto; entre otro.
